Mr. Aogu Matsuoka is Partner of Advisory Services at the Hotta Liesenberg Saito Chicago office. He joined HLS in January of 2007 and is responsible for leading, coordinating, and delivering various types of Advisory Services. In anticipation of the upcoming Japanese version of the Sarbanes Oxley corporate governance requirements, he will be working closely with HLS team members as well as with BDO Seidman, LLP alliance network firms to strategize and provide the best possible services to Japanese companies in the US and in Japan. Prior to joining HLS, he was with KPMG in the Chicago office for over 12 years. He worked for most of 2005 in their Tokyo office on an international rotation assignment to provide IT internal audit assistance services to a Tokyo-based American company. Mr. Matsuoka has had more than seven years of Advisory Services experience with the Information Risk Management practice and five years of financial statements audit experience with the Midwest Audit Japanese practice, servicing U.S.-based Japanese companies.

He graduated from Taylor University in Indiana, with a B.A. degree in Accounting, and he is a member of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Chicago. His personal interests include playing and watching a variety of sports, dining out at international restaurants, watching movies, and spending time with his wife and three children.
